Diversity in Representation Fund
The Diversity in Representation (DIR) Fund provides full registration subsidies that cover 100% of the registration fee for selected teams participating in the 48 Hour Film Project.
DIR subsidies are available for:
-
Seattle 48 Hour Film Project
-
Seattle Horror 48 Hour Film Project
-
Montana 48 Hour Film Project
-
Bay Area 48 Hour Film Project
The purpose is to remove the upfront cost barrier so filmmakers from historically underrepresented and underserved communities can participate and build real-world experience, credits, and professional connections through the 48 Hour format.
Apply for a
registration subsidy
Apply for a full registration subsidy through the Diversity in Representation (DIR) Fund. Approved applicants receive a subsidy that covers the entire 48 Hour Film Project registration fee for their team.
Subsidies are available for Seattle, Seattle Horror, Montana, and Bay Area events. Awards are limited and reviewed on a rolling basis until all subsidies are allocated.

Sponsor a Team
A contribution of $158 sponsors one full team registration through the Diversity in Representation (DIR) Fund—covering 100% of the registration fee for a team that otherwise couldn’t afford to participate.
Your support directly removes the cost barrier and expands access to the Seattle, Seattle Horror, Montana, and Bay Area 48 Hour Film Project events.
